We've got pet and dog friendly Holiday Homes and Camping & Touring pitches situated within easy access to foothpaths and exercise areas.
As dog owners ourselves, we understand dog owners. And part of the reason we live in Woolacombe is that it's great for dogs. Or is that part of the reason that we have dogs? Either way here's a taste of what we can offer you and your best friend. And you'll be pleased to know we welcome up to 3 dogs per booking on all of our Devon Holiday Parks.
We try to pick Holiday Homes that are situated with easy access to footpaths or exercise areas, we also include all the little extras we hope will improve your stay... a wipe clean dog bed and a brand new blanket each time to go in it, healthy dog treat, doggy toy, feeding bowls, water bowls, and that all important unlimited supply of poo bags. There's no need to remember to pack all those essentials, they're all included in your extra charge of £30 per pet per booking. And our convenience stores all stock pet food and grooming supplies too.
Camping & Touring
WOOF Guide to Woolacombe
You'll also get our WOOF Guide to Woolacombe packed full of useful information including coastal and countryside footpaths, pet friendly pubs, restaurants and tea houses. Plus maps and access guides for local beaches, details of local vets, pet groomers and pet friendly attractions in the area. North Devon is great for walking holidays with your dog. For example, Golden Coast is next to the Tarka Trail and there's footpaths from Woolacombe Bay, Twitchen House and Easewell Farm to Woolacombe Beach. Like most beaches in the area, it's pet friendly too.
Bringing your dog to the Parks
All dogs staying with us must be up to date with their flea, worming and tick treatments plus reasonable measures must also be taken to check your dogs upon return from walks while staying with us to ensure parasites are not brought into our accommodation. Dogs must not be left unattended in your accommodation and any damage made to soft or hard furnishings will be chargeable. At all times dogs must be on a lead around the grounds of our Devon Holiday Parks, dogs are permitted in selected designated areas of our central facilities but this does not include any swimming pool and spa areas, amusement arcades, entertainment venues and convenience stores.
And very importantly, dogs are only permitted in designated pet friendly Holiday Homes and Camping & Touring pitches. If you arrive with a dog into accommodation or onto a pitch area which is not pet friendly then we'll have to ask the dog to leave the Park immediately and there will be a fee for deep cleaning the accommodation.
Sorry, these dogs aren't welcome
We're sorry but for the safety and comfort of all our guests we can't welcome any dogs listed in the Dangerous Dogs Act 1991 - no ifs, no buts, no exceptions:
- Any dog known as pitbull type
- Japanese Tosa
- Fila Brasileiro
- Dogo Argentino
We can sometimes take other types of pet, but you'll need to ask the General Manager at your choice of Park before you book.
Newspaper promotion holidays
With the exception of registered assistance dogs, we do not offer pet friendly holidays through any third party newspaper promotions. If you would like to bring a pet on holiday then you'll need to book your holiday directly with us and they can get snapped up pretty fast. And we're sorry, you cannot transfer what you've paid with on a third party booking to a new booking.
Registered assistance dogs
Oh before we forget, we welcome registered assistance dogs not just in our adapted wheelchair friendly Holiday Homes but in all our accommodation too for no extra charge. All you need to do is make your booking online without selecting any pets and once you've booked contact our Reservations Team - once they've received a copy of your dog's registration certificate they'll add it to your booking free of charge.
