Indoor creative activities

Whatever the weather, these indoor activities at Woolacombe Bay and Twitchen House keep creativity flowing. From pottery painting the whole family can enjoy to making your own teddy brear to take home, there’s plenty of hands-on fun to enjoy together during your North Devon holiday.

Pottery painting

Come along to one of our laid back indoor craft studios, pick your own piece of pottery from the vast selection… there's everything from plates and bowls, moneyboxes and fridge magnets to animals and Easter decorations. Even if you've got no artistic talent you can make a masterpiece, a totally unique memento of your holiday that you paint just how you like. And our talented team can give you a few tips if you need them. When you've got it just how you'd like it we'll glaze it and fire your work for you to collect in 1-3 days and take home. You know, future living-room-museum pieces.

Pottery items are priced individually and range from £4.75 up to £40. All prices include paint and glaze, we then fire them in our kilns to 1,000 degrees. Each item is then individually wrapped when you come to collect it to make sure it makes it home safe. The firing process can take 1-3 days, please check before booking to see when your pottery will be ready for collection. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Due to limited space we regret we cannot accept buggies/pushchairs or dogs into our pottery painting studios.

Make a bear party

Create your very own cuddly teddy in this fun interactive session as you fill it with soft stuffing, make a wish and kiss the heart you tenderly put inside to bring your new best friend to life. Give your bear a name and join in the magical naming ceremony where you'll get a special certificate with all your bear's details then you'll both join the ParkStars entertainment team for some songs and dances.
