Make a splash in our indoor swimming pools

Rain outside? That's a pretty good excuse to get wet anyway. All three of our Devon holiday parks have their own heated indoor swimming pool open from 8am to 8pm every day non-stop, so swimming can stay firmly on the holiday agenda whatever the weather.

For plenty of splashy family fun, head to Castaways at Woolacombe Bay or Jungle Falls at Twitchen House, where slides and water play turn an indoor swim into a proper holiday activity. If you'd prefer something a little calmer, Easewell Farm's indoor pool is ideal for a more relaxed dip.

And because guests can use the facilities across all three Parks, you don't have to stick to just the pool where you're staying.

Catch a wave whatever the weather

You came to Woolacombe, so naturally somebody is going to want to go surfing. Luckily, grey skies or choppy seas don't necessarily mean giving up on the idea. Wavesurfer at Twitchen House lets you experience the rush of riding a wave without depending on the conditions out at sea.

The surfing simulator creates its own continuous flow of water and, importantly for those less-than-tropical Devon days, it's covered. That means you can practise your bodyboarding skills, perfect your technique or enjoy some spectacular wipeouts whatever is happening outside.

It's a great way to get a taste of Woolacombe's surfing spirit without having to wait for the perfect beach conditions.

Get competitive indoors

A rainy afternoon and a bit of family rivalry are a very good combination. Across our Parks you'll find plenty of indoor games and sports to keep all ages entertained. Challenge the family to table tennis, see who can hit the bullseye at darts, or enjoy a proper West Country game of skittles. There are bowls to try too, giving you the chance to slow the pace down without sitting still all afternoon.

And some of our more unusual activities can come in out of the weather as well. Hover archery and inflatable axe throwing can be brought under cover when conditions call for it, so a passing shower needn't stop you taking aim.

Warm up, work out or completely unwind

Not every all-weather activity has to involve keeping the youngest children entertained. For older children and grown-ups looking for a little downtime. head to the spa at Woolacombe Bay and turn a damp day into an opportunity to properly switch off. With warm thermal experiences, saunas, steam rooms, foot spas, a plunge pool, an indoor jacuzzi and places to simply relax, suddenly the weather outside doesn't seem quite so important.

If you'd rather work up a sweat, there's an indoor sea-view gym too. You can keep up your fitness routine while still remembering you're on holiday… the coastal view should help with that.

When the weather calls for something cosy, settle into one of our on-Park cinemas at Woolacombe Bay or Twitchen House. With comfy seating, surround sound and just 50 seats, they have the feel of your own private screening room, with the latest feature films showing throughout your holiday.

And the entertainment doesn't stop when the credits roll. Our indoor entertainment venues at Woolacombe Bay and Twitchen House host plenty of daytime and evening fun, from live stage shows and visiting acts to family entertainment, party dances and bingo.

So whether you fancy a couple of hours with a good film or an evening watching a show together, there's plenty to entertain you without worrying about what's happening outside.

And if you're not quite ready to call it a night, our amusement arcades offer another indoor option for some classic seaside fun.

Some of the best holiday souvenirs are the ones you've made yourself. Our indoor creative activities give children (and grown-ups) a chance to sit down, get stuck in and make something memorable together.

They're ideal when you fancy a change from high-energy activities and a particularly good option for filling a drizzly afternoon with something everyone can get involved in.

When younger holidaymakers still have energy to spare, our indoor soft play areas are ready and waiting.

With multi-level play, slides, ball pools and obstacles, children aged up to eight can climb, crawl and play whatever it's doing outdoors.

Even better for the grown-ups, the soft play areas at Woolacombe Bay and Twitchen House are conveniently placed by our all-day café bar restaurants. Little ones can let off steam while you make your coffee last just a little bit longer.

Don't let a bit of rain stop the adventure

Of course, an all-weather holiday doesn't always mean staying indoors. At Twitchen House, The Canopy gives our nature and outdoor activities a covered base, helping more of the adventure continue when the weather turns.

And sometimes the best option is simply to dress for it. Pack the waterproofs, pull on the wellies and enjoy Devon in all its moods. Exploring, getting muddy and heading outside together can end up being one of those holiday memories everyone talks about afterwards.
