Woolacombe Bay Holiday Parks

A guide to Woolacombe's best pubs

It’s no lie that a trip to the coast often involves a trip to the pub. Whether for a family dinner or a tipple in the beer garden, the British pub is the cornerstone of our society and social spot of our holidays. Luckily for you we have tried out most of the pubs in Woolacombe - just a stone’s throw from our three seaside holiday parks - and know the best spots to find the best local ale and grub!

The Tides Inn

Not only do we love this play on words, but we love The Tides Inn so much that it’s at the top of our list of pubs in Woolacombe. Neatly sat on Beach Road, this recently refurbished pub busts out the classics better than your granny. The service is friendly and the atmosphere welcoming. Sunday roast recommended. tidesinnwoolacombe.co.uk

Bar Electric

Funky and upbeat, Bar Electric is the perfect pit stop for lunch, dinner, coffee or a jagerbomb after hours. The vibes in here reflect our seaside town of Woolacombe; chilled, relaxed and just a bit too cool. barelectric.co.uk

Captain Jack's

If you love our Woolacombe Bay pirate indoor fun pool, then you’ll love getting into the pirate spirit at Captain Jack’s, where your locally sourced food will always be served with a grin. The food comes in hefty portions and the ambience is the polar opposite of pirate-pillaging... think relaxed, chilled and cider fuelled. What kind of grades did the pirate get in school? HIGH SEAS! With its open kitchen and friendly staff, The Jube is an ol’ favourite of ours here at Woolacombe Bay Holiday Parks. If you like burgers, this is where you’ll want to lunch. thejube.co.uk

The Barn

Dog friendly, family friendly, granny friendly. Recently known as The Red Barn but now with a fresh new look. The perfect pub for lunch with the whole gang. But don’t be put off if you’re sans-family, they’re also great at the couples thing, the lads night out thing and the girly catch-up thing. thebarnwoolacombe.co.uk

Chichester Arms

Traditional to the core and actually in neighbouring Mortehoe and easily walkable from both Twitchen House and Easewell Farm, the Chich' as it's known locally is English country pub through and through. If it’s sunny, the beer garden is the ideal sun trap, and if not, you’ll find no better hideaway from the Atlantic breeze. Local beers on tap and plentiful food that will fill your boots. chichesterarmsmortehoe.co.uk
