   This was our first stay at Woolacombe with a young family 3/7/10y and were keen to find somewhere with swimming and beach options. I was undecided which site would work best. The wooded walk to the beach swung it. Our family are used to walking, so the distance was fine for us despite some negative reviews. The children liked their rooms and swam most days, enjoying the slides in particular. Plus we went to Woolacomb to use their outside slides and pool also. I thought our eldest might have gone on the surf machine, but didnt in the end. Wasn't keen by herself. We went to family entertainment once on our last night for bingo and dancing. The children enjoyed this, with our middle child being invited onto the stage. I used the entertainment space in the evening as it was the only place I could get wifi to check work emails etc. The shop was well equipped and fairly priced for milk, eggs etc. We treated ourself to fresh Choc au Pain on the last morning. Otherwise cooked most of our own meals and packed lunches.

   We have visited this site many times as a family and normally have a wonderful time but unfortunately this wasn’t the case this time due to a very large party of a boxing tournament group which took over the park, bad language, feral children and drunken adults who had no care for anyone else or the staff who were intimidated and unable to keep things under control which is why we had to leave the park to entertain our grandchildren as they were scared to use the park or pool because of very large groups of kids swearing and acting like they owned the place

   We loved everything about our stay. We attended pictures with the beach balls on Thursday and they don't normally do beach ball bounce. My 2 years old was terrified of Billy and Betty when we came in April but after watching them on YouTube he loved them and I asked them if they could do beach ball bounce for him and they did. This made his day!

   I asked for a caravan near the facilities if possible as my autistic son often does not walk. We had Bo5. Thank you so much. It was so close that we could pop back between activities, calm, let him eat and then pop back out. He loved the beach ball dance! Both kids loved the pool and slides. My daughter loved the pottery(thanks to the staff For accommodating my son) the inflatable pool session, the parks and so on. Caravan was basic but clean and well maintained. Only issue was the oven didn’t really get hot enough to cook anything and the lack of dim lights in the bedrooms but not enough of an issue to worry about. We had a great week and will be back! The only issue I spotted was the trampoline in the park. It was unattended when we popped in one day and 10 kids were on it. Odd it wasn’t fenced but it was great the bouncing part was removed in the evening as we could use the park without arguing with my son about whether he could go on. Just odd it was left in the day.

    We always love visiting your holiday parks! This is the third summer in a row we’ve visited and we wouldn’t go anywhere else. We stayed at Twitchen House this time but enjoy being able to visit Woolacombe Bay as well. My children love the indoor and outdoor pools at both holiday parks and also enjoy the shows put on by your brilliant entertainment staff. We love how accessible everything is! We can’t wait to visit again!
