Woolacombe Bay Holiday Parks reports strong growth as £10m investment programme reaches completion
Woolacombe Bay Holiday Parks has announced another year of strong growth, with bookings for 2025 up 6% year-on-year and forward bookings for 2026 already 10% ahead, underlining continued demand for high-quality coastal holidays in North Devon and the UK.
The positive performance comes as the business approaches the culmination of a major £10 million investment programme in accommodation and facilities, spanning just three years from 2024 to 2026. Of this, £4 million has already been invested in replacement caravans for the 2026 season, a move buoyed by robust bookings in 2025 and strong confidence in demand for next year.
New facilities driving demand
Investment made during 2025 has already had a significant impact on future bookings. At Twitchen House Holiday Park, the introduction of a new outdoor fun pool featuring a splashpad water play area and multi-lane waterslide, alongside a covered Wavesurfer surfing simulator and extended all-day café bar, has helped drive forward bookings for 2026 up by an impressive 17%.
Also new for 2025 was the launch of the new Emerald caravan grade, occupying all the prime front row locations at Woolacombe Bay and Twitchen House. Designed to meet growing demand for luxury holiday accommodation, Emerald caravans feature premium touches including full-size baths, TVs in every bedroom and gas barbecues on sea view decking.

Further major accommodation upgrades for 2026
A total of 131 brand new caravans have already arrived and are sited ready for the 2026 season. The focus is firmly on enhancing comfort and quality, with new caravans offering bespoke interiors reflective of North Devon's rich surfing culture, en-suites and decking areas to meet customer demand for more premium features.
At Woolacombe Bay Holiday Park, every caravan in the highly sought-after Surf Village premium area has been replaced. Each of the new Sapphire and Diamond graded caravans on this holiday park now guarantees an en-suite shower room to the main bedroom, alongside a family bathroom, and 5 additional units will feature private outdoor hot tubs. The Surf Village has also been expanded with 10 new caravan bases, each offering private parking for two cars.
Reflecting the rise in multi-generational holidays, the four-bedroom sea view Farmhouse is also undergoing a complete refurbishment, providing an attractive additional option for larger family groups holidaying together.

Adapting to modern lifestyle trends
Woolacombe Bay Holiday Parks is also responding to changing lifestyles and travel habits by offering much more flexible arrival dates and stay durations than traditionally associated with holiday parks. Alongside this, an improved activity booking system is being introduced, allowing guests to pre-book experiences before they arrive. Activities range from Segway Safaris and lake water sports to bushcraft classes and access to the spa thermal suite, helping guests plan and personalise their stay in advance.
Commenting on the update, Kevin Darvill, Sales & Marketing Director for Woolacombe Bay Holiday Parks said: “Demand for UK coastal holidays remains strong especially in the West Country, and our continued investment reflects both our confidence in the market and our commitment to giving guests the very best holiday experience. Seeing bookings already significantly ahead for 2026 shows that customers are really responding to the improvements we’re making across our holiday parks.”
