We travel with our dog and always find the dog friendly vans are fabulous. We have stayed in all different vans over the years and they have all we need. I ways go for the higher vans to get the space and bbq

I’d add that point strongly, as it makes the value-for-money criticism clearer. We visit Devon and Cornwall several times a year and have stayed in a number of caravans over the years, but unfortunately, this was by far one of the worst we have experienced, particularly considering the price we paid at this time of year, which was outside of peak season. What makes this even more disappointing is that this was advertised as a Platinum caravan. Based on our experience, we expected a much higher standard of accommodation. In fact, after looking at the Gold-standard caravans available on the site, they appear to be in better condition and more modern than the Platinum caravan we stayed in. This really makes us question how the accommodation has been graded and whether the Platinum description accurately reflects what guests are actually getting. The caravan itself was very old and outdated and, in our opinion, did not represent good value for the amount we paid. The steps leading up to the caravan were extremely steep and we found them unsuitable for families with small children. On entering the caravan, the door handle was noticeably worn, with the plastic casing coming away. Inside, there were several holes and patched areas in the laminate flooring, which made the accommodation feel tired and poorly maintained. The green leather sofa was also not particularly appealing and added to the dated feel of the caravan. The main bedroom was another disappointment. There were visible stains on the flooring and there was an unpleasant smell in the room, which made it uncomfortable. The swimming pools were one of the things we were most looking forward to, but unfortunately they also fell short of expectations. We found the water to have a very strong chlorine smell and it irritated both my son's eyes and mine. There was also noticeable sand at the bottom of both the main pool and the smaller pool, which wasn't particularly pleasant. The arcade was probably the highlight of the site and was the area we enjoyed the most. Overall, we were very disappointed with our stay. We regularly visit Devon and Cornwall and understand that accommodation can vary, but for the price we paid, especially outside of peak season, we expected a much better standard. For a caravan advertised as Platinum, we expected modern, well-maintained and higher-quality accommodation. Unfortunately, that was not our experience. Having since looked at the Gold-standard caravans on the site and seeing that they appear more modern and better presented, we feel particularly disappointed with what we received. Based on this experience, we would not consider this caravan to represent good value for money and would be unlikely to book this particular accommodation again.

That we could eat without any fuss - our son is Coeliac and the food was brilliant for him ( always a concern when eating out) . We had the most amazing view from the caravan- Thank you for that 😊
