Self-Catering Accommodation FAQs

In your accommodation, you'll find a fully equipped kitchen, with the crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils you're likely to need for a self-catering stay. This includes a microwave, fridge-freezer, toaster, kettle and cooker.

Bed linen is provided and your beds will be made for your arrival, additionally bath towels are included in all accommodation except Bronze, Silver and Gold caravans, where they are available to hire as an option.

Our caravans vary in size according to the grade booked and the number of bedrooms:

Bronze Caravan - minimum 10 ft wide:

• 2-bedroom is 28 ft long 
• 3-bedroom is 30 ft long and 12 ft wide

Silver Caravan - all 12 ft extra wide:

• 2-bedroom is 28 ft long
• 3-bedroom is 35 ft long
• 4-bedroom is 39 ft long

Gold Caravan - all 12 ft extra wide:

• 2-bedroom is 32 ft long
• 3-bedroom is 36 ft long

Platinum Caravan - all 12 ft extra wide:

• 3-bedroom is 36 ft long

Sapphire Caravan - all 12 ft extra wide:

• 3-bedroom is 40 ft long

Emerald Caravan - all 12 ft extra wide:

• 3-bedroom is 42 ft long

Diamond Caravan - all 12 ft extra wide:

• 3-bedroom is 40 ft long at Woolacombe Bay
• 3-bedroom is 38 ft long at Twitchen House 

Bronze is our most compact accommodation with all the essentials and a check-in time from 5pm. There is always one shower and one toilet in Bronze Caravans.

Silver is guaranteed to be an extra wide caravan with up to 20% more space that you'll really notice. There is also a fold out double sofa bed in the lounge so is a more flexible option for larger groups. There is always one shower in Silver Caravans, 2-bedroom has one toilet whilst 3-bedroom and 4-bedroom models have two toilets. Check-in is from 4pm in Silver and it is possible to secure a newer models under 2 years old for a small additional charge (subject to availability).

Gold has more space than Silver and is furnished to a higher standard. Gold Caravans are generally found in better locations than Bronze and Silver. All Gold Caravans guarantee one shower and two toilets, one of which is en-suite in 2-bedroom models and in newer model 3-bedroom Gold caravans. Other additional features in Gold over Silver include superior furniture and fittings throughout, a lounge area with full height windows where the sofa faces outward rather than into the caravan, a DVD player and coffee table.

Newer model Gold caravans guarantee a kingsize bed in the main bedroom:

• Woolacombe Bay: Gold 2-bedroom and Gold 3-bedroom on selected models for a supplement (subject to availability), guaranteed on Gold with deck 3-bedroom caravans.
• Twitchen House: Gold with deck 3-bedroom on selected models for a supplement (subject to availability), guaranteed on Gold 3-bedroom and Gold with deck 2-bedroom caravans.

Decking is an option on certain Gold caravans (will show as "Gold Caravan with deck" when booking), decking is not available on any Bronze or Silver caravans.

Our accommodation grades are spread throughout each of our holiday parks. Generally, we put the higher grades in the better locations. Emerald Caravans guarantee a front-row view, whilst Diamond Caravans with hot tubs are in more secluded locations so you can enjoy your hot tub in most weathers. Your specific location will be allocated on arrival, but if you have a special request, you can add this at the time of booking or email goodtimes@woolacombe.com.

If you book a Platinum, Sapphire or Diamond caravan you will be staying in the premium developments in 'Surf Village' at Woolacombe Bay and 'Beach Haven' at Twitchen House so you can be assured of your location within the holiday park with each caravan having more space around it than in our main holiday park areas with features including larger decking, outdoor furniture, gas babecue and private parking for 2 cars. Please note that in 2026 a small number of pet-friendly Platinum Caravans are located within the main holiday park areas.

Pets are allowed in a selection of designated pet-friendly accommodation.

If you or someone in your party has allergies, please select pet-free accommodation at the time of booking and add a special request to your booking. This helps ensure our team can make your stay as comfortable as possible.

Certain areas of our holiday parks contain no pet-friendly accommodation at all, specifically ‘Surf Village’ at Woolacombe Bay has no dog-friendly caravans and lodges so this may be a more suitable location for guests who are more wary of dogs. There is a public footpath through this area so dogs may be walked through ‘Surf Village’ on a lead.

Please note: On very rare occasions, we are able to accept registered guide dogs in any accommodation.

Yes. All of our caravans, lodges, apartments and farmhouse at Woolacombe Bay Holiday Parks have central heating and double glazing, so you can keep your accommodation warm and comfortable throughout your stay.

No. Our caravans, lodges, apartments and Farmhouse do not have air conditioning.

Our lodges, apartments and farmhouse are of a more substantial construction than caravans, which can help them stay more comfortable in warmer weather. Being on the coast also means temperatures are often cooler than further inland during hot weather.

We don’t provide or hire fans, but you’re welcome to bring your own portable fan with you.

At Woolacombe Bay and Twitchen House, we provide free WiFi service accessible throughout much of the Park.

Our venues at Woolacombe Bay, Twitchen House, and Easewell Farm offer free WiFi hotspots. You can use our service to check your emails, browse the internet, and post on social media (with the exception of video upload, calls & streaming) using our free WiFi service

Guests staying in Surf Village lodges and sea view Farmhouse have access to free, high-speed WiFi in their accommodation through a dedicated personal router.

Please note, we endeavour to provide a good WiFi experience but due to the rural location of our Parks, the quality of WiFi can occasionally be intermittent. Most WiFi access points are mounted on masts around the Park. For the best connection, locate these when you arrive and keep a clear line of sight. Distance also affects performance so while our high-power equipment may show a strong signal, your device may have a shorter broadcast range.

Yes! Bed linen is included in all self-catering accommodation and all beds (except sofa beds) will be made up for your arrival.

If you have hired a cot, please ensure you bring your own cot linen. For added comfort, it is advisable to bring a cot mattress.

Towels are included in Platinum, Sapphire, Emerald and Diamond caravans as well as all lodges, apartments and farmhouse. There’ll be a towel for each person named on your booking.

Towels are not included in Bronze, Silver and Gold caravans but can be added in advance at the time of booking or in My Account for £20 per bale (4 bath towels).

We do not provide pool and beach towels so you'll need to pack your own.

Most accommodation has showers only, but you will find a bath with an overhead shower in addition to a shower in the master bedroom en-suite in Emerald caravans and all lodges (except Surf Pod). The farmhouse additionally has a bath with overhead shower in the en-suite to the ground-floor double bedroom.

Most accommodation has one shower and you can see the number of showers in the accommodation when you search and book online. The following accommodation types have more than one shower:

• Sapphire Caravan 3-bedroom: one in family bathroom, one in master bedroom en-suite.
• Emerald Caravan 3-bedroom: one bath with overhead shower in family bathroom, one in master bedroom en-suite.
• Diamond Caravan 3-bedrom: one in family bathroom, one in master bedroom en-suite.
• Surf Lodge 3-bedroom: one bath with overhead shower in family bathroom, one in master bedroom en-suite.
• Surf Lodge 4-bedroom: one bath with overhead shower in family bathroom, one in master bedroom en-suite.
• Surf Lodge Plus 4-bedroom: one bath with overhead shower in family bathroom, two master bedrooms both with en-suite showers.
• Surfscape Lodge 3-bedroom: one bath with overhead shower in family bathroom, one in master bedroom en-suite.
• Bay View Apartment 2-bedroom: one in family bathroom, one in master bedroom en-suite.
• Sea view Farmhouse 4-bedroom: one in family bathroom, one in first-floor master bedroom en-suite, one bath with overhead shower in ground-floor double bedroom.

Twitchen House

• Emerald Caravan 3-bedroom: one bath with overhead shower in family bathroom, one in master bedroom en-suite.

Most accommodation at Woolacombe Bay Holiday Parks includes either a DVD or Blu-ray player, depending on the accommodation type:

• DVD players: included in Gold, Platinum, Sapphire, Emerald and Diamond caravans, as well as Surf Pod, apartments and the sea view Farmhouse.
• Blu-ray players: included in Surf Lodge, Surfscape Lodge and Surfview Lodge.
• No player: Bronze and Silver accommodation does not include a DVD or Blu-ray player. DVD and Blu-ray players are not available to hire or borrow in these ranges.

When booking self-catering accommodation with us, you can choose from a variety of options including caravans, lodges, and apartments that can comfortably sleep parties of 4 to 8 people. We also have a limited number of 4-bedroom caravans that can accommodate up to 10 guests.

If you book through our website, you will be prompted to enter the number of people in your party so that we can suggest suitable accommodation for your requirements based on the size of your party. Please note that infants, even when staying in a cot, are always considered as part of the party size.

All Surf Lodge, Surfscape Lodge and Surfview Lodge accommodation have hairdryers. However, hairdryers are not available in any of our caravans, apartments or farmhouse so we recommend bringing your own.

Accommodation, which includes a washer-dryer also has an iron and an ironing board provided. Although our Bay View Apartments do not have a washer-dryer, they do include an iron and ironing board.

If you are staying in a caravan, these will not include an iron or an ironing board. However you are welcome to use the iron and ironing board available in our fully equipped launderette on each holiday park.

Yes! You can hire cots, bed guards and high chairs through My Account. There is a charge of £15 per week or short break for cots and highchairs and £5 per week or short break for bed guards.

Travel cots can be used in our accommodation, but where they will fit depends on the type of accommodation you have booked.

In most caravans, there is not enough space for a travel cot in the main bedroom. If one of the twin beds in the second bedroom is not being used, it can usually be folded down underneath the other bed to create space for a cot. If all of the beds are needed, the first cot and any additional cots will normally need to be placed in the lounge area.

Our lodges, apartments and farmhouse accommodation are larger and we do not remove or fold away beds to accommodate a cot. Depending on the layout, there may be enough space for a cot in a bedroom. For example, all 3-bedroom lodges, ll apartments and the 4-bedroom farmhouse will often have room for a cot in the main bedroom.

Our travel cots are suitable for babies up to 12 months old and measure approximately 100cm x 70cm x 70cm. For your baby's comfort, please bring your own cot mattress and cot linen, as we are unable to provide these.
