Plus if you need to move or cancel your holiday for any other reason that's not covered by the Coronavirus Guarantee, including you're just not happy travelling or your plans have changed, then when you add our low cost Holiday Safeguard Scheme when you book it makes your changes much more flexible and you'll be able to claim a refund. Here that's not just limited to the coronavirus pandemic but gives you peace of mind that if your plans change later for other unexpected things that crop up you've got the flexibility you need. It's just one of the reasons we get lots of happy returns every year.

We want you to be confident that as a family-owned business doing the right thing is in our DNA so we'll make you a very simple promise... you can rest safe in the knowledge that whatever the future holds we're here to help if Covid-19 means you can't stay because:

  • Your holiday Park is closed because of coronavirus so is not able to accommodate you for your confirmed booking
  • HM Government travel restrictions including local lockdowns are in place on the dates of your booking affecting your home postcode
  • We tell you we have to operate your break on an accommodation-only basis due to HM Government restrictions and you then opt not to stay

Or if your holiday is in 2021 and:

  • You or any member of your party listed on the booking have been told to self-isolate due to coronavirus, or have any Covid-19 symptoms

You'll be given the choice of:

  • Change to a later date with no admin fees
  • Cancel your holiday and receive a full refund

+ What happens if coronavirus travel restrictions are in place on my holiday?

If you are unable to travel to us to take your booked holiday due to HM Government travel restrictions including local lockdowns, you will either get a full refund or you can rescue your holiday plans with a transfer to a later holiday with no admin fees.

+ What happens if the Parks are open but all the facilities are closed?

If there are HM Government restrictions in place at the time of your holiday which mean our Parks operate on an accommodation-only basis with no facilities except for the reception, launderette, convenience store and food & drink delivery or takeaway, you will be notified several weeks before your arrival date and given the option to either continue with your holiday, cancel with a full refund or move your break to a later date with no admin fees. If you decide to continue with your holiday, we will not be offering reduced rates or a partial refund for reduced facilities but as a minimum we will provide you with free WiFi in your Holiday Home or Camping & Touring pitch (at all Parks excluding Easewell Farm) for an unlimited number of devices for the duration of your stay.

+ What happens if I have been told to self-isolate?

If you or any member of your party listed on your holiday booking has been told to self-isolate over the dates of your 2021 holiday booking for coronavirus then you must not take your holiday with us during your period of isolation so please contact us if you have coronavirus symptoms within 7 days of your break and do not come to the Parks. You will have the option of a full refund or you can rescue your holiday plans with a transfer to a later holiday with no admin fees. As it's a legal requirement to book a coronavirus test and register this with NHS Test & Trace, in order for us to action these options for you you'll need to supply us with documentary evidence showing at least the name of one person listed on your booking either in the form of a letter or email from NHS Test & Trace which is generated when you are instructed to self-isolate or when inputting a positive Covid-19 test result.

Our Coronavirus Guarantee does not apply where you choose to take an overseas trip which requires mandatory quarantine on arrival in the UK.

+ Should I still take out Holiday Safeguard Scheme?

Yes, we strongly recommend taking out our Holiday Safeguard Scheme cover to ensure you do not lose all the money you have paid if you need to cancel or amend your holiday after you booked it. This cover extends to other illness and reasons for cancellation including jury service and redundancy.

+ What if I have an outstanding balance, should I pay it?

Yes, because if you don't pay any outstanding balance on time for a holiday on a date when our Parks are not closed then your holiday will be cancelled by us for non-payment of the balance and you'll forfeit any monies already paid. Rest assured that if the Parks have to close and your booking is cancelled by us due to coronavirus, you will be notified as soon as possible by email and offered a full refund or you can rescue your holiday plans with a transfer to a later holiday with no admin fees.

+ How are booking amendments and refunds processed?

Switching your holiday where affected by coronavirus as shown above incurs no amendment fee - if you select a lower priced break we will refund the difference in the same way you made the original payment, if you select a higher priced break you will need to pay the difference. Refunds will be processed in the same way you originally paid for that booking, for example credit card payments must be back to the same card and credit notes will be recredited to your customer account.

Holiday Safeguard Scheme

For peace of mind, we really strongly recommend you protect your holiday in the event that you have to change or cancel it due to unforeseen circumstances. Our Holiday Safeguard Scheme provides you with a level of assurance against the possibility of having to pay the full cost of your holiday in the event of cancellation.

It makes changing your holiday or claiming a refund if you cancel a much easier, smoother process and without it there's no refunds on any money you've already paid. It also means that if your plans change after you book, you can cancel up to 8 weeks before you stay and we'll refund all you've paid less the standard deposit... we call it the 'No Quibble Refund Guarantee' because it's exactly that, no documents required, whatever the reason and no questions asked!

Holiday Safeguard Scheme is not a policy of insurance, nor does it replicate all the features of a typical holiday insurance policy or car breakdown cover. If you require insurance cover then you should purchase this through an insurance provider or broker authorised by the Financial Services Authority.

Changing your holiday booking

Free amendments when you change online

If your holiday is unaffected by the criteria covered in the Coronavirus Guarantee, for example your plans have changed or you don't feel comfortable to travel, then you still have flexibility to amend your booking based on whether you added our Holiday Safeguard Scheme when you booked, which you are strongly recommended to do. You can amend elements of your holiday like your Park, date, duration and accommodation or pitch type in My Account as many times as you like within the same arrival year:

+ Changing your booking 57+ days before arrival

With Holiday Safeguard Scheme: amend to any holiday in the same year - if you select a higher price break you will need to pay the difference, if you select a lower price break we will refund the difference in the same way you made the original payment*.

Without Holiday Safeguard Scheme: amend to any holiday in the same year - if you select a higher price break you will need to pay the difference, if you select a lower price break there will be NO refund.

Cancelling your holiday booking

If we have to cancel your booking later due to coronavirus you're covered by the Coronavirus Guarantee so you can move your holiday to a future date or receive a full refund. If you wish to cancel your booking and it has not been cancelled by us, then cancellation policy in our booking conditions applies.

With Holiday Safeguard Scheme:

If your holiday is unaffacted by the criteria covered by the coronavirus guarantee and you wish to cancel, then you can claim a refund depending on when you cancel and the reason for cancellation. 'Qualifying reasons' for enhanced refunded entitlement must not have existed at the time before booking and require documentary evidence for the reason for cancellation before a refund can be processed, they are:

  • Sickness of any person in your party listed on the booking
  • Bereavement of any person in your party listed on the booking or a close relative
  • Redundancy of any person in your party listed on the booking
  • Jury service of any person in your party listed on the booking

+ Cancelling your booking 57+ days before arrival

Qualifying reason: full refund less the Holiday Safeguard Scheme premium*.

Any other reason: loss of standard deposit** and Holiday Safeguard Scheme premium, all other money refunded*. Even if you pay in full to get the biggest early booking saving you really can book with confidence because with free Holiday Safeguard Scheme you can cancel with a full refund, less the standard deposit, up to 8 weeks before arrival whatever the reason and no questions asked. We call it our 'No Quibble Refund Guarantee' and it really does what is says!

Qualifying reason: refund of 30% of total holiday cost less the Holiday Safeguard Scheme premium*.

Any other reason: no refund.

If you used vouchers, credit notes or transfer notes to pay for your holiday, we may be able to transfer them to another holiday with us but, unfortunately, we can't refund them or credit them back to your account. + Cancelling your booking on or after the day of arrival

No refund including if you fail to arrive or cut your holiday short.

Without Holiday Safeguard Scheme:

Regardless of the reason for cancellation you will forfeit all monies previously paid with NO refund and be liable to pay the remaining balance, therefore you are strongly recommended to add this cover at the time of booking. Unfortunately if you can't change your holiday as an option, you will need to claim back through your holiday insurance provider.
