Woolacombe Sponsor Shelter Boxes for Burma

Thanks to sponsorship by the Woolacombe Bay Holiday Parks, the Barnstaple Link Rotary Club have raised thousands of pounds and brought public awareness  to the work of the Rotary - supported Shelterbox charity through their talks to clubs and schools. This, coupled with fundraising in North Devon, has brought shelter to thousands of people caught up in disasters all over the world. Rudi Lancaster, who heads up the family-owned self catering leisure business at Woolacombe, provided  the original funding for the Barnstaple Link Rotary Club to go on the road with their awareness program.

Martial Arts Bank Holiday Bonanza at the Golden Coast

The May Day Bank Holiday witnessed the annual martial arts event at the Coast. Now in its 18^th Year, this event has grown from strength to strength and now includes a wide and varied number of martial arts events from Kendo to kick boxing to Judo. CBBC comes to the Golden Coast!

We were very pleased and delighted to welcome the CBBC team to the Golden Coast for the weekend to film an episode of their new series "Give me a Break". The series allows children to pick the family holiday and decide what activities the family will take part in during their stay. The kids even get to choose what the parents get to wear!! Great fun was had by the crew, cast and the team at Golden Coast! Look out for the episode on CBBC during September 2008!
