Woolacombe Bay Holiday Parks in Devon reckons that 2012 will be the year of the UK holiday and reports record bookings.
Self-catering holiday sales for the first week of January were an amazing 51.4% up on the same week last year, while bookings for camping and touring pitches doubled. In addition, Sunday 8th January broke all records for on-line bookings.
Kevin Darvill, sales and marketing director said: "2012 looks set to break all booking records at Woolacombe Bay Holiday Parks and it is already evident that more families are planning to spend their holidays in the UK this year."
"We have invested more than £8 million in new facilities, new activities, new caravan Holiday Homes and refurbished luxury accommodation at our four Parks at Woolacombe over the past five years and in 2012, the new Sports Complex, complete with a state-of-the-art surfing simulator and high ropes course will make its debut."
Kevin Darvill also said: "It is also becoming increasingly apparent that the appeal of our Holiday Parks is increasing for families from all walks of life when they realise the quality and choice of the featured accommodation and the number of activities that are available, many of which are free."
Prices in 2012 at Woolacombe Bay Holiday Parks – for those taking advantage of the early booking discount of up to 15% off School and Bank Holidays and up to a massive 30% off all other dates for reservations made by 31 January – start at just £143 for a family of four enjoying a week in April in a fully-equipped two-bedroom caravan Holiday Home. In addition, a low booking deposit of just £40 is required to secure a holiday.
