Woolacombe’s beautiful beach has been awarded the Blue Flag and Premier Seaside Beach Award year-on-year for its good management, cleanliness and water quality.
With no jet skis or speed boats to worry about - they’re prohibited - the surfing and swimming are superb.
Play in the sand
The three miles of golden sands right here on your doorstep are just right for building sandcastles or hunting around in rock pools.
Paddle in the sea or relax on a deckchair - or even in a beach hut - enjoy a BBQ or take a walk along the North Devon Coastal Path. It’s all here!

Blue Flag beach
The Environment Agency describes Woolacombe as “a broad golden sandy beach backed by sand dunes… a safe bathing beach with good surfing conditions, an ideal family beach in every way”.
